Bayelsa  Bye-Election: Police  Deploys 5,000 Personnel

The Bayelsa state police commissioner Mike Okoli says the command has deployed five thousand policemen for today's senatorial Bye-Elections in five local government areas of the state.

The commissioner made the disclosure at the police headquarters in Yenagoa while briefing newsmen on their preparedness in ensuring the election is violent free, so residents can come out in their numbers to cast their vote.

Addressing journalists, the Bayelsa police commissioner stressed on the number of personnel, which he said was made possible through the efforts of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu. 

He emphasized on the restriction of vehicular movement which he said commences from 6 am to 4 pm today Saturday 5th December 2020.
