Students of the federal polytechnic, Ado Ekiti in conjunction with the Joint campus committee of the National Association of Nigeria Students on Wednesday protested the collapse of Ureje bridge in Ado Ekiti.

The students appealed to the federal government to pay urgent attention to the deplorable condition of the Ado- Ikare Akoko road which links their campus to the state capital. The students also lamented the human time that will be wasted on the road and its economic implications.

They said it will be difficult for students of federal polytechnic, Ado Ekiti to prepare for their forthcoming examination.

They also appreciate the Ekiti state government for providing palliative measures to cushion the effect of the bridge collapse.
