Police parades 55 notorious suspects
The Ogun state police command has paraded a total of fifty-five suspects, arrested for various crimes ranging from armed robbery, kidnapping, murder, cultism among others.
The state command while parading the suspects at the state command in Abeokuta, the state capital, revealed that at least 39 arms were recovered from the suspects.
In a similar vein, the Police in Ogun State, in what looks like a cleanup exercise, have unleashed terror on suspected criminals in the state and have arrested some suspects in connection with criminal activities in the gateway state.
Speaking about the success recorded in the first week of the year, the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Ahmed Iliyasu said some of the suspects lost their lives during an exchange of gunfire with the Police.
The Commissioner said some notorious kidnappers in the state were similarly arrested and have been supplying useful information to the Police.
He added that they had been in operation for close to two years.
He appealed to residents of the state to continue to provide useful information to the Police in order to reduce crime and criminal activities in the state.
