Oyo state is bankrupt- Makinde
Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has declared that the state government is bankrupt calling on all stakeholders for their support.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to his office by the governing council of the University of Ibadan led by its pro-chancellor and chairman of the council, Nde Waklek Mutka, Makinde disclosed his government is still searching for ways of keeping the state running.
Galaxy Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that the governor who decried the deplorable condition of an agbowo shopping complex in front of the university called for a mutual relationship with the authorities of the university and the state government.
On his part, the chairman of the council and pro-chancellor university of Ibadan, Waklek Mutka solicited the assistance of the state government for the development of the university.
