Osun University Holds Virtual Matriculation
As coronavirus pandemic become a global emergency, halts economy and business activities, the Vice-Chancellor Osun State University, Professor Labode Popoola has urged Nigerians to adapt to its impact and focus on solutions to tackle its spread.
Popoola made the statement during the 5th Matriculation ceremony for postgraduate students organised virtually for the students as the first of its kind among universities across the country.
He stressed that it is a privilege that candidates were offered admission to the various faculties.
Professor Labode Popoola also encouraged students across the nation to optimize the use of technology device as a tool that can facilitate learning, transparency and accountability to the betterment of their future.
The VC also urged the student to emulate good character, obedient to the authority and steer clear of cultism, examination malpractice, hooliganism and other forms of social vices.
Oath was also recited by the newly intakes as part of activities towards adherence to the rules and regulations of the institution.
