The Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has promised to extend the empowerment program of his administration to the twenty-five local government areas of the state.

The governor made the disclosure at Effurun, in Uvwie local government area of Delta state while presenting certificates to hundred women, trained under the state micro small and medium enterprise scheme.

Speaking at the occasion, governor Okowa said the state empowerment program will be evenly distributed in the state.

On her part, the commissioner for commerce Mrs. Mary Iyasere advised the women to use their tools judiciously.

Some of the Items inspected by the governor includes laundry soaps and perfumes produced by the women, while baking machines were also presented to those involved in catering services.

The high point of the program was the presentation of certificates to the women by the governor, while a cash reward was also given to the women for their various businesses.
