The minister of defense, alhaji Bashir Magashi has presented cheques to one hundred and eighty-four next of kins of fallen military officers.

Presenting the cheques at the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja, Tuesday, the minister consoled with the families of slain officers and reiterated government resolve to improving the lives of those they left behind.

Alhaji Magashi said the cheques are part of the 2018 and  2019  military group life assurance program for the officers.

He urged the beneficiaries to maintain and spend the money given to them wisely. 

The chief of defense staff who was represented by Abraham Dusu appreciated the federal government for supporting fallen heroes next of kins financially,

He  also advised the beneficiaries to spend the funds wisely

One of the beneficiaries Kashmel Ndifon appreciated the gesture promising that the funds would be utilized to take care of their respective families.
