Kano Government Assures Kano Igbo Community of Security

Kano state government has assured members of the Igbo Community in the state of protection from harm. The state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje gave the assurance at the statehouse when leaders of the eastern ethnic group residing in the state paid him a congratulatory visit over his victory at the Supreme Court judgment that affirmed him duly elected governor of the state in the 2019 general elections. The governor said all Igbo people residing in Kano state would be offered protection just like the indigenes of the state.

In his remarks, the leader of the Kano Igbo community, Eze Boniface Ibikwe said they are happy with Governor Ganduje's victory at the Supreme Court because that has been their wish all along.

While thanking the visiting leaders of the southeastern region for their cooperation with his government over the years, Ganduje said the Igbos are major contributors to the reason why Kano state is adjudged today as one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria.
