Employment: Only 10% Applicants Scored 50%

The chairman of Oyo State Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM, Akinade Alamu has revealed that only 10 percent of applicants who sat for the CBT examinations to recruit new post-primary school teachers in the state scored above fifty percent.

Alamu revealed this on Monday while speaking on the release of the result by the commission.

Recall that the result of the exam was released on August 29.

Speaking further, Alamu lamented that the TESCOM board is confused about how to carry out the recruitment exercise due to the poor performance of applicants.

He also stated that some stakeholders have advised the board to recruit applicants and grade them based on the subject they would teach.

He called for calm among all applicants and other stakeholders in the state saying the commission would do the needful and ensure that no candidate is shortchanged.
