Army impound Marijuana in Ondo

Officers of the 32 artillery brigade of the Nigerian army have impounded a large percentage of marijuana at a cannabis cultivation site in Owo local government area of Ondo state.


 The substance retrieved from the site had since been deposited with the officers of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

 This development is one of the  numerous successes of synergy between security outfits in Ondo state which has in no doubt entrenched relative peace in the state.

Speaking during the handing over of the substance to the NDLEA, at the army headquarters of the 32 brigade artillery, the commander, Brigadier General James Ataguba reassured the commitment of the army to combat any form of social vices in the society.

Representing the state commander of NDLEA, Muhammed Yusuf commended the gallant effort of the Nigerian army at rendering support to the agency in the effort of combating illicit drug business in the state and Nigeria at large.
