President Bola Tinubu has invited local and foreign investors to fund 65 proposed projects requiring $78.5bn, promising government support to overcome obstacles and speed up their implementation.
Tinubu made the appeal in a statement on Friday after the projects were presented at the Nigeria Investors Forum, held on the sidelines of the 2026 IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok.
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso, presented the investment opportunities at the forum.
The President urged prospective investors to examine the projects and engage directly with their promoters through Projects Nigeria, an initiative through which the opportunities are being presented.
“Our administration will work with you to resolve obstacles and move viable investments into execution, creating jobs and expanding opportunities for our people,” Tinubu said.
He said the economic reforms introduced by his administration were designed to establish a stronger foundation for investment and improve Nigerians’ access to economic opportunities.
Tinubu also welcomed the World Bank Group’s efforts to mobilise up to $5.79bn in private financing for Nigeria, describing the initiative as support for efforts to expand businesses and attract investment into agriculture and digital infrastructure.
The proposed financing is expected to complement the government’s drive to attract capital into productive sectors of the economy.
The President said the government remained committed to working with investors to address challenges that could delay viable projects and ensure they progress towards implementation.
