Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has launched a ₦1bn economic empowerment programme for 5,000 beneficiaries in Edo State alongside the inauguration of 50 compressed natural gas buses in Benin City.

The initiatives were unveiled during her visit to the Edo State capital on Friday, with the First Lady highlighting the importance of accessible and affordable transportation.

The event was attended by Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo, women’s groups and supporters of the ruling party.
