Authorities of the University of Lagos have revealed that investigation over the two lecturers allegedly involved in the sex for grades scandal is still ongoing.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe who disclosed this during a chat with newsmen said due process is being followed, as the institution had set up an administrative panel to investigate the matter.

He said the lecturers have been suspended and the cold room shut down pending the conclusion of the investigation.

The Vice-Chancellor also revealed that there is no fake Professor in the institution, a response that followed the recent report by the Nigerian Universities Commission that it has uncovered over 100 fake professors in Nigerian Varsities.

Professor Ogundipe who took a swipe on its administration's success in the last two years said the varsity was ranked among the first one thousand four universities in the world. He noted that the school currently has 10 centres of excellence.
