Adamawa State Government has described as untrue and misleading the recent publications by online media on the State livestock transformation plan.

Deputy Governor Crowther Seth disclosed this at a press conference that the national livestock transformation plan has nothing to do with ruga settlement initiative being paraded in certain quarters.

He said the President has suspended the implementation of ruga programme initiated and implemented alone by the federal ministry of Agriculture and national resources because it is not consistent with the NEC and the federal government which has programmes of rehabilitation of displacing IDPs within crises state and development of ranches in any willing state of the federation.

According to him, Journalists should always crosscheck their fact before publication to avoid confusing the populace.

It could be recalled that, the state government has Inaugurated Six Member committee to implement the national livestock transformation plan which the committee was headed by professor Ambrose Alikidon Voh former executive Secretary national animal production research institute.
