The Oyo State Police Command has begun investigating the killing of an amateur boxer, identified as Kehinde and popularly known as KBlaq, who was allegedly stabbed with a broken bottle after a street fight in Ibadan.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday at Olodo Garage, reportedly happened after the initial confrontation between some individuals had ended.
Accounts shared on social media alleged that Kehinde was not involved in the fight but was attacked by a man who arrived after the confrontation and stabbed him in the neck with a broken bottle.

Several people who claimed to know the deceased described him as a gentle person who rarely got into trouble.
An X user, @MVKAY2, alleged that the suspect was not part of the initial confrontation.
“The person who stabbed him was not even involved in the fight, and they had stopped fighting already. Just one of those vile men wey the matter no concern came from nowhere and stabbed him,” the user wrote.
Another user, @omononaolapo, also claimed that the alleged attacker was not among those involved in the fight.
“This guy that stabbed him was not even among those that they were fighting,” the user said.
A user, @Tunde, who described Kehinde as his brother, expressed grief over the incident and alleged that some commercial motorcyclists at the scene watched the confrontation.
Another social media user, @Pelumifundz, described the deceased as the younger brother of a friend, saying he was gentle and did not cause trouble.
“He’s so gentle and doesn’t cause trouble. I would really love to know what happened that made the bikeman stab him in the neck,” the user wrote, calling for justice.
