Nigeria's  Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has just concluded a brief working visit to Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The visit was in connection with the last Friday's flash flooding within Abeokuta metropolis in which no fewer than 11 persons reportedly lost their lives,  property and other valuables worth millions of naira destroyed.

The Governor led the Vice President to the most affected locations, where the flood had huge impact.

Addressing Journalists shortly after the inspection, Professor Yemi Osinbajo described the incident as very unfortunate while he also commiserates with the victims.

He assured that the Federal government would be providing immediate relief materials to the victims; and in the long run, look at the best strategy to enhance the existing infrastructure within and around the metropolis to avoid a recurrence.
