In a statement signed by the board's Public Relations Officer, Squadron Leader Aliyu Muhammed, the delegation included Navy Commodore Galadima Ciroma, Director of Navy Pensions, and Captain Robertson Akpojovwo, Chairman of the Delta State Legion.
Speaking during the celebration, Osifo acknowledged the sacrifices and contributions of military veterans, stressing that their welfare remained a priority for the board.
He said veterans deserved recognition and appreciation for their service to the nation, adding that the board remained committed to their well-being.
The event, held in the presence of family members, friends and well-wishers, featured cultural performances and traditional dances.
The Aruwe of Ute-Erumu, clergy members and community leaders were also among the dignitaries who attended the celebration.
Responding on behalf of the family, retired Master Warrant Officer Chuks Echenim thanked the MPB chairman for travelling to Delta State to celebrate with his father.
He expressed appreciation for the gesture, which brought together members of the military community and residents to honour the veteran.
The board said the visit reflected its determination to preserve the dignity of retired servicemen and recognise their contributions beyond the administration of pension benefits.
