The Nigerian Armed Forces, in a periodic report, disclosed that troops recorded significant successes in nationwide operations conducted between February 13 and 19, 2026.

The Director Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja, in a statement, indicated that scores of terrorists were neutralized, several suspects arrested, and kidnapped victims rescued across the regions.

Onoja said that troops also recovered automatic weapons, RPG tubes, locally fabricated firearms, and large quantities of ammunition.

He highlighted that in the North-East, Operation HADIN KAI targeted Boko Haram, ISWAP, and JAS fighters, rescuing three kidnapped victims and intercepting ₦37 million from suspects in Borno and Yobe States.

A suspect was also arrested in Adamawa State with two drones and solar power banks linked to terrorist logistics.

According to Onoja, Operation FANSAN YAMMA in the North-West arrested nine terrorists, rescued 26 kidnapped victims, and recovered stolen livestock, vehicles, and weapons. In the North-Central region, operations in Kwara, Niger, Plateau, and Kaduna States resulted in multiple arrests and the safe return of kidnapped civilians.

Under Operation WHIRL STROKE, 11 suspects were arrested in Benue and neighbouring states, while arms and ammunition were recovered.

In the South-South, troops dismantled illegal oil refining sites and arrested suspects, while in the South-East, eight suspected terrorists were arrested and weapons recovered during targeted operations.

The Defence Headquarters reaffirmed the military’s commitment to national security and urged citizens to continue providing credible information through the toll-free emergency line 193.
