The Nigerian military have declared Operation CLEAN SWEEP III in Matazu Forest, Katsina State, after the killing of General Rabe Abubakar by bandits, at the weekend.
Apparently, Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, went on offensive operation in Katsina State, identified as Operation CLEAN SWEEP III, to clear terrorists and bandits elements from the forests in Matazu Local Government Area and the environs.
The bandits were in town to hand over the corpse of the deceased General Abubakar for burial in accordance with Islamic injunctions, and went back peacefully to the Matazu forest.
