Former governor of Oyo state and Osi Olubadan, Rasheed Ladoja has declared that he is to be addressed as the high chief of Olubadan of Ibadan.

Ladoja in his reaction to the installation of 21 new obas, including some high chiefs of Olubada said the state government has shown beyond reasonable doubt that he is the prime target of the review of Olubadan Chieftaincy declaration.

The former governor said he remained the Osi Olubadan of Ibadan land and would neither agree to being a government-appointed Oba with no domain nor support attempt at desecrating the Olubadan throne.

Ladoja added that he is already at the High court over the matter and will await a judicial pronouncement on it soon.
The former governor of the state however alleged that the incumbent governor of the state, Governor Abiola Ajimobi had set up a panel disregarding Ibadan traditional system, received its report and interpreted its recommendations to suit his selfish agenda against the popular wish of the people of Ibadan and the Olubadan.
