Government at all levels have been called upon  to improve the security situation  in the country to enable health workers reach the rural populace with family planning consumables.

The chairman of the Family Health Advocates in Nigeria Initiative (FHANI), Bala Mohammed made the call during stakeholders meeting in Kaduna, the state capital.

Bala Mohammed highlighted the challenges that affected the distribution of family planning consumables to include the mechanism for the distribution and insecurity which made it difficult to reach the rural areas, particularly flash points.

Some of the stakeholders who spoke with newsmen appealed to government to always accelerate the release of money for health care agencies in order to safeguard the lives of the citizenry.
