A multiple-vehicle accident has occurred at Otedola Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, leaving passengers and drivers injured and causing a major traffic disruption in the area.
It involved multiple vehicles, including trucks, and prompted an immediate response from emergency and traffic management authorities. Recent reports confirmed that three articulated vehicles and a car were involved in the crash around Otedola, inward Berger.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, the FRSC Lagos Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, Mr Olawale Musa and LASTMA General Manager, Mr Bakare Oki, were at the scene supervising rescue and evacuation operations.
The officials are coordinating the removal of the damaged vehicles and efforts to restore the free flow of traffic along the busy corridor.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution and expect delays around the Otedola Bridge axis as emergency operations continue.
