An Ekiti State commercial driver, Adeleye Adeniyi, has said he borrowed N3.5m to support the re-election bids of President Bola Tinubu and two other politicians, citing their performance in office.

Adeniyi, popularly known as “Online Loan Man for BAO”, disclosed this in an interview circulating on Friday, displaying a cardboard cheque showing N2m pledged for Tinubu, N1m for Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and N500,000 for Ekiti State House of Assembly member Steve Fatoba.

The mini-truck driver, who hails from Ado-Ekiti, said he was prepared to campaign for the politicians ahead of the forthcoming elections because he believed their administrations had delivered results.

“I am supporting Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his second-term ambition. I have borrowed money. I want to use this money to support him because he’s doing a very great job,” he said.

Adeniyi also promised to use a campaign song to mobilise support for Tinubu, declaring, “On your mandate, we shall stand.”

He urged Nigerians to vote for the President for a second term, expressing the belief that another tenure would bring further benefits to citizens.

The driver also praised Bamidele and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, citing what he described as their contributions to healthcare, education, electricity and rural infrastructure.

Speaking about Bamidele, Adeniyi said the senator’s support for projects had strengthened his belief in the lawmaker’s leadership.

Adeniyi previously attracted attention in February 2026 after reportedly borrowing money through the digital lending platform OPay to brand a vehicle in support of Oyebanji’s re-election bid.

He operates a mini-truck around the BAO Timber Market along Ilawe Road in Ado-Ekiti and has repeatedly expressed support for Oyebanji and Tinubu over their policies on education, healthcare and citizens’ welfare.
