A commercial motorcycle operator was in the early hours of today crushed to death along the East-west road axis of Ughelli local government area of Delta state.
The man who was referred to as APOY by community residents was said to be on his motorcycle by the roadside before one of the tires of a red Toyota car said to be on high speed pulled off and hit the man who died on the spot.
Some residents gave an eyewitness account of the accident and what led to the death of the commercial motorcycle operator.
The driver of the Toyota car was said to have absconded when he noticed he had killed someone, while the police and officials of the Federal Roads Safety Corps were still being expected as at the time of filing this report.
