The Peoples Democratic Party has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to face the problems of insecurity and economy and allow religion to thrive in the country.

National chairman of the party, Uche Secondus made the call while inaugurating the national campaign council of the Peoples Democratic Party for the Ondo state gubernatorial election slated for October, 10 2020.

Reacting to the recent presidential assent on the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020, the PDP chairman said the law tend to control religion and should be discouraged.

He said government should rather focus on the challenges bedeviling the country instead of fight those who pray for the progress of the country.

Secondus however urged the governor Makinde led campaign council to ensure that the party wins the October poll while urging the federal government to made the election credible.

Governor Seyi Makinde in his acceptance speech assured the National Working Committee that PDP will win the election.

He promised to provide good leadership that will enthrone Mr. Jegede as the next governor of the Sunshine State.

Member of the one hundred and forty-five campaign council attended the inauguration.
