Supermodel Gigi Hadid took centre stage at Vogue World: Milano 2026, opening the star-studded fashion event in a dramatic Valentino Haute Couture gown.
The event began on Tuesday, September 22, at Milan’s historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, coinciding with the opening day of Milan Fashion Week.
Hadid appeared in a Renaissance-inspired Valentino gown from the house’s Spring/Summer 2025 Haute Couture collection, one of the first designs created by Alessandro Michele after becoming the brand’s creative director.
The ivory gown featured voluminous puff sleeves, a full skirt and an organza ruffled collar and cuffs. Made from recycled Venetian quilts, the elaborate piece reportedly took 1,680 hours to complete by hand.
Hadid’s appearance was among the standout moments of Vogue World’s Milan edition, which celebrated Italian fashion by bringing together historic designs and contemporary interpretations from major fashion houses.
The event featured models including Vittoria Ceretti and Awar Odhiang, while singer Alicia Keys also performed during the show.
Hadid’s opening look further cemented her presence on the international fashion circuit, following her recent appearance at Tommy Hilfiger’s Spring/Summer 2027 show in New York.
