Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has issued a cease-and-desist notice warning members of the public against publishing or circulating alleged false, misleading and defamatory statements concerning her.
The notice, dated November 5, 2026, was issued by Whitestone Solicitors and Consultancy on behalf of Abraham, whose full name is Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi.
Titled “Publication and circulation of false, misleading and defamatory statements against the person of Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi”, the document alleges that certain individuals have circulated statements and narratives capable of damaging the actress’s professional image, personal integrity and reputation.

The solicitors said the publications were allegedly untrue, misleading and unsubstantiated.
Addressing the general public, particularly bloggers, social media users and content creators or influencers, the law firm urged them to immediately cease and desist from making, publishing, reposting, circulating, endorsing or otherwise disseminating statements concerning Abraham that it described as false, misleading, malicious, defamatory or unverified.
The notice warned against sharing such content directly or indirectly across social media platforms or other communication channels.
It also cautioned individuals against using freedom of expression as justification for spreading falsehoods or damaging another person’s reputation.
Warning to bloggers, social media users
The solicitors said they had become aware of publications allegedly targeted at Abraham by some individuals described in the notice as “known persons”, who they claimed were acting under the cover of sponsored individuals.
The document did not identify the specific individuals involved or provide details of the particular statements being challenged.
It also did not announce that a lawsuit had been filed against any person.
The notice comes amid renewed online discussions involving Abraham. In October, reports emerged about an audio recording allegedly involving the actress and a TikTok user, which circulated on social media and sparked reactions over comments made during the conversation. Neither Abraham nor Funke Akindele publicly confirmed the recording’s authenticity in reports at the time.
However, the cease-and-desist notice did not explicitly link its warning to the recording or identify it as the subject of the legal action.
Previous legal disputes
Abraham has previously taken legal steps over alleged defamatory statements.
In 2019, the actress threatened legal action against fellow Nollywood actress Liz Anjorin over allegations she said damaged her reputation. The legal notice at the time reportedly demanded the removal of the disputed posts and an apology.
The latest notice reiterates the actress’s position against the circulation of statements her legal representatives consider damaging to her reputation.
As of the time of filing this report, the notice did not identify specific recipients, state a deadline for compliance or confirm that court proceedings had commenced.
