The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has enlisted prominent figures from the entertainment and creative industry as members of its campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate is headed by the state Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, who is listed as director, while veteran actor Jide Kosoko will serve as co-director and actress Eniola Badmus as deputy director.
Akeem Alimi, popularly known as Ajala Jalingo, is named secretary, while Dare Olateju will serve as assistant secretary.
The list, released by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre on Thursday, is part of the full membership of the Lagos APC campaign council ahead of its inauguration on Friday, September 18, at the party’s secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.
Other notable Nollywood personalities on the directorate include Oga Bello (Adebayo Salami), Saheed Balogun, Bukky Wright, Bimbo Akintola, Fathia Balogun, Kikelomo Balogun, Yinka Quadri, Foluke Daramola, Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi, Tayo Sobola and Abiola Adebayo.
The list also features Princess Bopo Oyekan Ismaila, Rasaq Yusuf, Aderinola Philips, Olamide Maja, Abbey Lanre, Remi Oshodi and Leke Babatunde Akinrowo.
Fuji musicians and entertainers also make up a significant part of the directorate, with Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Abass Akande Obesere, Adewale Ayuba, Sulaimon Alao Adekunle (Malaika), Akorede Babatunde Okunola (Osupa) and Temitope Adekunle (Small Doctor) named as members.
Others on the list are Sule Adio Atawewe, Yemisi Falaye, Kayode Fahm and Aruna Ishola.
The entertainment directorate is one of several units under the Lagos APC campaign council, which has Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as chairman and Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as deputy chairman.
The council is scheduled for inauguration on Friday as the party begins preparations for the 2027 elections.
