The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled its campaign council for the 2027 general elections, with former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro named Director-General and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu appointed Chairman.
The campaign structure, released on Thursday by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre, also brings former Lagos governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode into the party’s advisory structure.
Prince Tajudeen Olusi will chair the Governance Advisory Council, while Sanwo-Olu will serve as Advisory Council Chairman. Fashola and Ambode are listed as Co-Chairmen.
Other members of the advisory structure include President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; and former Minister of Health, Adeleke Mamora.
At the main campaign council level, Sanwo-Olu is Chairman, while his deputy, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, is Deputy Chairman.
Ojelabi Cornelius is listed as Vice Chairman I, Obasa as Vice Chairman II and Damilola Sonayon James as Vice Chairman III.
Obanikoro will serve as Director-General, with Rasaq Ajala as Deputy Director-General and Adekunle Olayinka as Campaign Secretary.
The council has also created directorates and sub-committees to handle areas including legal and compliance, party and inter-party affairs, administration and logistics, traditional institutions, diaspora engagement and residents’ associations.
Lawal Pedro, SAN, is to head the Legal and Compliance Directorate, while Moshood Mayegun will lead the Party and Inter-Party Affairs Directorate.
Adekunle Olayinka will head the Secretariat Administration and Logistics Directorate, while Chief Kunle Odufuwa will oversee Traditional Institutions.
Gbolahan Gbadamosi is listed as head of Diaspora Engagement, with Jermaine Sanwo-Olu as his deputy, while Azeez Aremu Amusat will coordinate activities involving residents’ associations, community development associations and estates.
The campaign structure also provides for grassroots coordinators and co-coordinators across the state’s local government areas and Local Council Development Areas.
Members of the council are scheduled to be formally inaugurated at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja, Lagos, on Friday, September 18.
