Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has warned prospective students against admission fraudsters as it released cut-off marks for 107 undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The university said admission would be strictly based on merit, with Nursing Science and Law recording the highest general merit cut-off marks of 77.4 and 77.1, respectively.

The institution disclosed the approved scores in a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji, on Wednesday.

Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc . Nursing must score at least 77.4 under the general merit category, while the catchment cut-off is 74.4.

For LLB, the general merit cut-off is 77.1 and the catchment mark is 73.

Other programmes with high thresholds include Radiography and Radiation Science, 74.5; Medical Laboratory Science, 73.8; Common and Islamic Law, 71.3; Accounting, 69; and Mass Communication, 68.7.

The cut-off marks for Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are 66.8, 66.1, 65.6, 64 and 63.8 respectively.

At the lower end, the general merit cut-off for B.Sc . Education Mathematics is 43, while Christian Religion Studies and Agricultural Wildlife Management have cut-offs of 47.1 and 49.8, respectively.

The university stressed that candidates must meet the prescribed admission requirements and other conditions set by the institution and relevant regulatory authorities.

UNIOSUN also warned candidates against people or platforms claiming to have access to admission slots or the ability to influence the admission process.

“Prospective candidates are therefore advised to exercise caution and avoid individuals or platforms claiming to have access to admission slots, preferential consideration or opportunities to influence the admission process,” the university said.

It urged prospective students to obtain admission information only from its official website and verified social media platforms.

The university said it “will not be responsible for any misinformation, financial loss or other consequences arising from reliance on information obtained from unauthorised sources”.

It also advised candidates to disregard unofficial admission messages circulated through social media, WhatsApp groups and other online channels unless they could be traced to its verified communication platforms.
