MultiChoice Nigeria has announced new subscription packages for DStv and GOtv, promising subscribers more content choices, expanded sports coverage and greater value for money.

The new packages, unveiled under the company’s “Expect More” campaign, will take effect on November 5, 2026, according to the company.

Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos, MultiChoice Nigeria’s Chief Executive Officer, Kemi Omotosho, said the changes were designed to simplify subscription options and allow customers to choose packages that suit their preferences and budgets.

Under the new structure, DStv will offer Starter, Select, Sports and Premium packages, while GOtv customers will have access to Easy, Starter, Select and Sports.

The revamped offerings will include additional sports coverage, refreshed movie channels and more local and international entertainment. Some content previously available only on higher-priced packages will also become accessible on lower tiers.

The DStv Sports package, priced at ₦21,000 monthly, will include all English Premier League and UEFA Champions League matches, alongside other sporting content.

The company also plans to expand its Africa Magic Plus channel family, featuring Nigerian and other African productions, children’s programmes, music and additional entertainment.

Omotosho said the company was not planning an immediate subscription price increase, although future pricing decisions would depend on economic conditions and operating costs.

She added that subscribers who had paid ahead under the existing package structure would retain the subscription duration and value they had already purchased.

The company also said customers would have more flexibility to watch content through satellite television, smart TVs, tablets and streaming services, including DStv Stream, subject to subscription and internet requirements.

MultiChoice said the changes form part of a broader effort to improve customer experience, expand content access and strengthen its investment in African storytelling.
