Unilever Nigeria Plc has declared an interim dividend of N11.5bn after its net profit rose by 20 per cent to N26.4bn in the third quarter of 2026.

The dividend translates to N2 per share and will be paid to shareholders whose names appear on the company’s register as of the close of business on Friday.
The company’s revenue increased by 18 per cent to N184bn in the third quarter of 2026, up from N155.4bn recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.

Its gross profit rose by 34 per cent to N85.5bn from N63.9bn, while gross margin improved to 46.4 per cent from 41.2 per cent over the same period.
Operating profit also grew by 27 per cent to N38.5bn, according to key extracts from the company’s interim report and accounts for the nine months ended September 30, 2026.

Managing Director of Unilever Nigeria, Tobi Adeniyi, said the company’s performance in the first nine months of the year reflected the strength and resilience of its business.
He noted that consumer demand came under increased pressure in the third quarter as households continued to face constraints on disposable income.

Despite the challenges, Adeniyi said the company focused on delivering value, improving product availability, introducing relevant innovations and maintaining disciplined execution.
“These choices delivered consistent revenue growth, a 34 per cent increase in gross profit, and 20 per cent growth in net profit,” he said.

Adeniyi added that the company was working to strengthen its product portfolio through accessible innovation and targeted brand investment to improve consumer preference and support sustainable growth.
He said Unilever Nigeria remained confident in the country’s long-term prospects and would continue to invest in its brands, operations and workforce while seeking to create lasting value for consumers, customers, shareholders and other stakeholders.
