Interim Head Coach of the Super Falcons, Augustine Eguavoen, has invited 28 players for Nigeria’s 2028 Olympic Games qualifying fixture against Comoros.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Communications Department announced the squad in a statement on Tuesday.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defenders Michelle Alozie, Oluwatosin Demehin and Ashley Plumptre are among those invited.
Others included: midfielders Christy Ucheibe, Toni Payne and Jennifer Echegini, as well as forwards Asisat Oshoala, Gift Monday and Uchenna Kanu.
The squad also features several youngsters, including Christiana Uzoma, Farida Abdulwahab, Tumininu Adeshina, Favour Nkwocha, Shakirat Moshood, Oluwakemi Adegbuyi and Janet Akekoromowei.
The players are expected to report to camp in Ijebu-Ode on Saturday.
Comoros will host the first leg of the second-round fixture on Oct. 9, while Nigeria will host the return leg on Oct. 13.
Both matches will be played at the Remo Stars Sports Stadium, Ikenne-Remo, as Comoros does not have a CAF-approved venue for international matches.
The Falcons must win on aggregate to advance to the third round of the qualifying series.
The five-round qualifying campaign is scheduled to end in December 2027, with the winners securing a place in the next stage.
