I Want To Become World Best Player In PSG- Lucas Moura

Lucas Moura is aiming to "become the best player in the world" after Paris Saint-Germain FC's €40m record signing linked up with his new employers for the first time in Doha.

As agreed last summer, Paris Saint-Germain FC completed the signing of Lucas Moura on Tuesday after the Brazilian put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

Lucas, who last month helped São Paulo FC win the Copa Sudamericana in his last game at the club, was unveiled at the Islamic Art Museum in Doha, Qatar, where his new team are training during the winter break. PSG paid a club record €40m fee for the man capped 22 times by Brazil as they seek their first Ligue 1 title since 1994 – something Lucas is eager to provide.

"My goal is to help the team win titles," declared the 20-year-old attacking midfielder. "This team is competitive and I think a lot of success is on the cards. But I'm always thinking about the Brazilian national team as well as becoming the best player in the world. I never think about losing when I take to the field. I'm not scared of anyone and I always give everything to honour the shirt I'm wearing."

Moura joins PSG's growing Brazilian contingent, featuring Thiago Silva, Alex and Maxwell as well as general manager Leonardo. "Paris is a big club. There's a great challenge ahead and Leonardo really helped me to make this decision," he said. "I'll do everything I can to achieve our goals and entertain the fans. I'll try to get to my best possible form with my new club after having given my all to São Paulo."

Lucas, part of the Brazil squad that won silver at last summer's Olympics, scored 19 goals at São Paulo in 78 league games and could make his UEFA Champions League debut against Valencia CF next month.
