Super Eagles goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo has expressed a desire to surpass the achievement of former No. 1 goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama.
Okonkwo is among the players coach Éric Chellé has named for Nigeria's AFCON qualifier against Madagascar on Friday in Akwa Ibom.
The Wrexham goalkeeper will also feature in the squad when it faces Guinea-Bissau next Tuesday.
The 24-year-old could earn a first-team start after goalkeeper Maduka Okoye missed the team's first two training sessions by arriving late to camp.
When asked to name his greatest Super Eagles goalkeeper, Okonkwo told Football Temple, “Enyeama. I watched him at the World Cup growing up. He is like a legend and I aspire to be close to, or hopefully maybe one day better than, him.”
