As part of measures to ensure a hitch-free gubernatorial election in Ekiti state come Saturday, July 14th, the Transition Monitoring Group(TMG) have called on all stakeholders to play by the rules in ensuring a violence-free poll.

This was made known by the group during a press briefing in Ado-Ekiti the state capital with local and domestic observers in attendance.

Speaking on the elections, the Chairperson of the group, Dr. Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi said the elections should not add to the already recorded deaths.

On the high number of security presence in Ekiti state, the TMG chairperson expresses concern saying it is an indication that politicians have not learned their lesson.
