President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, to continue his three-week annual leave in Europe.
Officials close to the President confirmed his arrival on Sunday, adding that he was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Ayodele Oke.
Tinubu had departed Abuja on August 30 for the holiday, with London as his first destination before moving to Paris for the second leg of his trip.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, had said in a statement announcing the holiday that Tinubu would return to Abuja after the three-week break and join preparations for the January 2027 general elections.
The President’s holiday began shortly after the All Progressives Congress released its Presidential Campaign Council list, which named Tinubu as chairman and Vice President Kashim Shettima as vice chairman.
Paris has remained one of Tinubu’s most frequent foreign destinations since he assumed office in May 2023.
According to a tally of his foreign engagements, Tinubu has visited Paris at least 13 times, spending more than 50 days in the French capital during official, working and private trips.
The President has also spent more than 270 days outside Nigeria since assuming office, visiting at least 30 countries on 51 trips.
His foreign travels have covered approximately 260,000 nautical miles and more than 400 flight hours.
