There has been overarching populist scrutiny of leadership across the country after Alamein Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, son of the 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, graduated from Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja.

The populist scrutiny became germane at a time other political elite, who include the FCT Minister, Works Minister, Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, etc., celebrate the graduation of their respective children in foreign universities in the U.K. Many commended Kwankwaso for showing leadership that believes in Nigeria. According to a stakeholder, "Congratulation to him, at least this one school for Naija. "Kwankwaso Is A good man who believes in Nigeria we are voting you and obi come 2027." Several others were of the view that "this is the leadership Nigeria deserves."
