The Edo State Police Command, about a week ago, paraded a suspected kidnapper, and a rescued victim, at the Command's Headquarters in Benin City.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the Edo State Command, ASP Eno Ikoedem, in a statement, indicated that the breakthrough followed the riot act by the Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Agbonika, after meeting with Governor Monday Okpebholo, during the parade of the first suspect and recovered operational car.

According to the PPRO, the Command acted on credible intelligence, which led to the launching of a coordinated operation and arrest of the remaining two suspects, identified as Wisdom Michael and Rufus Michael, in separate operations conducted within Benin City and Delta State, after the killing of one suspect during the manhunt.

The suspects have confessed to the crime, by making confessional statements linking them to the vegetable market incident and other criminal operations in Edo State.

CP Monday Agbonika commended the operatives for their professionalism, courage and promptness in tracking down the criminal network. He assured residents of the state that the police will not stop until all criminal elements are brought to justice.
