Ondo violence: panel of inquiry submits report
Commission of Inquiry set up by the Ondo State government to look into the crisis that erupted at Oba-Akoko during March 9, 2019, House of Assembly election in the state has submitted its report.
The report indicted some politicians in the area for the crisis that led to wanton destruction of lives and properties in the quiet Akoko town.
The Chairman of the committee, Femi Awani stated that the crisis was due to the conduct of political leaders who wanted to manipulate the election in favour of their preferred candidate.
Receiving the report, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu appreciated the committee members for their commitment to the assignment. He promised to look into the report.
