NYSC Threatens To Blacklist Employers Not Providing Accommodation, Transportation Serving Members
The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, N.Y.S.C, Brigadier-General Olakunle Nafiu, has cautioned that Corps Employers who do not provide accommodation and transportation for Corps Members would be blacklisted from accessing Corps services.
Nafiu, therefore, urged all Corps Employers, to upgrade the welfare of Corps Members posted to serve with them.
Interacting with Corps members in Lokoja on a working visit to Kogi State, Brigadier-General Olakunle Nafiu assured Corps members that the Federal Government is resolutely committed to their security and welfare. The Director General enjoined Kogi State, local governments and other stakeholders to increase their support for the N.Y.S.C. Scheme.
The DG encouraged the Corps Members to be security conscious, and always notify relevant security agencies of suspicious actions.
The Director-General advised the Corps members to maintain discipline and dedication to duty, and shun unwholesome acts. He reminded them that they were ambassadors of their families, institutions of graduation, and the NYSC.
