Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has declared that nobody ran against him during the March 9^th 2019 Governorship election.

The Governor made the declaration while reacting to the Rivers State Governorship election petition tribunal judgment which confirmed his victory at the polls.

Speaking at the Government house auditorium, Governor Wike said he will never be distracted by what he described as the antics of the opposition.

On their part, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria Ahmed Raji attributed Wike's victory to divine intervention as the National Chairman of the PDP Uche Secondus said justice has been served through the judgment.

Governor Wike and other leaders of the People’s Democratic Party later proceeded to the Government House chapel for a thanksgiving service on the Tribunals affirmation of his victory.
