Lagos: Women March To Mourn Killing of Students In Borno, Yobe

Women groups  in Lagos took to the streets today to mourn the tragic massacre and abduction of school children in the northeastern parts of Nigeria and make a plea to the Governmentt to take action against those who committed the killings.

The women lamented the unwarranted killing of young people, which they said has taken a new turn as militants now freely targeting and killing school children.

The women who came out in their large number chanted songs and carriedplacards of various inscriptions, urged Boko Haram to stop the killingof children in the northern Nigeria.

The “mourning march” is happening simultaneously in Abuja, Port-Harcourt and Ekiti. This march is to condemn the killing and abduction of  school kids by the Boko Haram Islamist sect in the north.

The group ended their mourning march at the Lagos State Government Secretariat in Alausa, where they submitted a letter of protest for onward transmission to the Federal Government. the letter requested the Federal Government to take drastic action against child killers.
