Former Deputy Senate President Omo-Agege Escapes Assassination in Delta

Former Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, may have escaped assassination attempt in a bloodbath attack in Delta State.

Political thugs, allegedly loyal to the Senior Special Assistant On Media to Delta State Governor, Temple Mudi, who was attacked a fortnight ago by the suspended works commissioner, attacked and inflicted machete cuts on some members of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, during a stakeholders meeting involving the NDC Governorship candidate, Chris Oyovwaye, former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege, and other party leaders.
The meeting was held in Usiefrun, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State;
Omo-Agege said they narrowly escaped death in the attack.
Six members of the opposition National Democratic Congress were injured during the attack. They were later rushed to the hospital in the pool of blood.
