Edo Police Commissioner Visits Family Of Dead Vigilante
The Edo State Police Commissioner, CP Monday Agbonika, in company of senior Police officers, visited the family of the Late Edo State Security Corps member, Stanley Emenin, who lost his life when suspected kidnappers shot and killed him during a rescue operation in Igbanke.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the Command, ASP Eno Ikoedem, in a statement, explained that the visit became necessary in order to cement the good working relationship between members of the state government-sponsored special security outfit and Policemen of the state police command.
The Edo police commissioner described the Late Stanley as a brave, selfless and patriotic community protector whose courage and commitment to the safety of others will never be forgotten.
The Late vigilante member died as a result of injuries sustained during a gun duel with the abductors of a 60-year-old farmer, Tuesday Osemeke, who was successfully rescued, while his kidnappers escaped with various degrees of gunshot wounds.
Meanwhile, CP Monday Agbonika has promised to bring the perpetrators to book, while reassuring members of the public that the police will not relent, until kidnapping, Cultism and other related crimes are brought to the barest minimum in the state.
