A court has sentenced Christopher Phillips to two years and four months imprisonment after he was found to keep the dead body of his mother in a freezer for about three years, and earning over £78,000 of his late mother's benefits from the corporation.

The Police arrested Christopher Phillips, 60, Greek-American author, educator, consultant, lecturer, practitioner and scholar of the Socratic method, on the discovery of his mother's body, Sylvia Phillips, 89, being deposited in his freezer.

Christopher Phillips had pleaded guilty to several crimes.
