Akeredolu tasks new commissioners

The governor of Ondo state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has declared that the state economy is in bad shape hence, called for support of new commissioners and other stakeholders to reposition the socioeconomic of the state.


 Governor Akeredolu said this at the swearing in ceremony of 18 commissioners and 10 special advisers held at the international event center in Akure the state capital.

The much-awaited swearing in of commissioners to form the executive cabinet for governor Akeredolu administration attracted large turn out of people who came in from 18 local government areas of the state to witness the ceremony.

 Addressing the gathering, Governor  Akeredolu revealed that the state is in debt to the tune of over N220 billions. He said there will no room for wastages because all electioneering must be fulfilled to justify the trust of the electorate.

 Speaking on their readiness to contribute to the success of the present administration in Ondo state,some of the newly sworn in commissioners promised to tarry along the direction of the Akeredolu led leadership.

 Portfolios of the new commissioner were not disclosed at the swearing in ceremony  and it`s expected to be pronounced soon by the governor  at the first executive meeting.
