Yoruba Youth appeal to Tinubu to disregard calls for the sack of Wike
The Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesome Wike has been advised to remain resolute and focused, disregarding actions of misguided individuals and civil society organisations that orchestrated rally calling for his removal as FCT Minister.
The President General of the League of Yoruba Youths for Advocacy and Good Governance(LYYAGG), Adediwura Adeshina who made the appeal at a media conference said that the allegation laid on FCT Minister by the counterfeit groups were based on falsehood.
Adediwura said that the reforms being carried out by the FCT Minister since he assumed office is a testament that he meant well for the FCT inhabitants and ready to instill order and coherence within the Federal Capital Territory.
The group while urging President Bola Tinubu to ignore calls from some quarters to sack the FCT Minister, also implored the Minister not to entertain frivolous demands that might incite breakdown of law and order in the FCT.
Recall some Civil Society Organisations staged a rally on December 6th, 2023 calling for the sack of FCT Minister, Nyesom over allegations of land grabbing and dispossessing people of their properties in the FCT.
