Residents of Oke – Iya Area in Ijoka Quarters, Akure this morning woke up to a horrific scene of the corpse of one of them who got drown in flood occasioned by yesterday’s rainstorms.

The man, an Okada rider, identified as Idowu Akomolafe got carried away with his motorcycle while trying to navigate the waters on his way home.

Residents of Oke – Iya have blamed the sad incident on diversion of flood from streets on Ijoka to their area due to road construction.

It was gathered that the late Akomolafe in his mid-thirties and married with two children was a landlord at Oke Iya.
