Tinubu Commissions 10-Unit Judicial Quarters In Abuja

President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, commissioned the newly built 10-unit judicial quarters for judges of the Federal High Court in Katampe District, Abuja.

He noted that the event was not just a commissioning of buildings, but a fortification of a vital pillar of Nigeria’s democracy - the judiciary.

He also noted that true judicial independence is built on the dignity and welfare of judicial officers, insisting that protecting the dignity of judges keeps the justice system shielded from manipulation and compromise.

Shettima, in a statement highlighted:

"On behalf of my boss, the President, earlier today, I commissioned the newly built 10-unit judicial quarters for judges of the Federal High Court in Katampe District, Abuja.

"Delivering his remarks at the occasion, I noted that the event was not just a commissioning of buildings, but a fortification of a vital pillar of Nigeria’s democracy: the judiciary.

"I noted that true judicial independence is built on the dignity and welfare of judicial officers, insisting that protecting the dignity of judges keeps the justice system shielded from manipulation and compromise.

"I also said that while a well-supported judiciary is indispensable to good governance, this administration has driven comprehensive reforms to ensure the justice sector operates without hindrance."
